外出を奪われたセブで、私は風景と水辺の身体を描き始めました。
本作は、実在の人物をもとに描いた一枚です。
floatin’シリーズが「浮遊の境界」にある静けさを扱うのに対し、
本作は、水の中で身体が動く瞬間をとらえています。
海に身を委ね、
波に運ばれ、
一瞬だけ重力から解かれる。
水面に映る像はもうひとつの存在のように現れ、
身体と風景の境界を曖昧にします。
セブの著名画家Tito Cuevasらが信頼を寄せる
額縁工房にて特注額装。
越境の中で生まれた、1点物の原画です。

During the COVID lockdown,
confined in Cebu, I began painting landscapes and bodies by the water.
This work is based on a real person.
While the floatin’ series explores the quiet tension at the boundary of suspension,
this piece captures a moment of movement within the water.
Entrusting the body to the sea,
carried by the waves,
briefly released from gravity.
The reflection on the surface appears almost as another presence,
blurring the boundary between body and landscape.
Custom-framed at a workshop trusted by
the renowned Cebu-based painter Tito Cuevas.
